Over the past 12 months, We Are Railfans has been lucky enough to see an incredible amount of railfan shots taken from all over the world - many submitted by you, the railfans, for our photos page and articles. We've also had the expert advice in a number of pieces by railroad author and photographer Gary Dolzall who has taken some beautiful shots in all weathers across the United States.

But recently, We Are Railfans obtained an anonymous and previously unseen collection of negative film, old slides and print photographs from a shop at Bishops Lydeard Railway Station in England. The photos, over 500 of them, depict a wide range of mass transit systems, mainly trams and buses, from across the globe but also feature a number of railways and railroads. Most are thought to date from the mid 1990s but with only a handful marked, it is difficult to know for sure.

Below we have pulled out a selection of 8 images that we hope you can help identify! Beneath each image is the information we know, with the missing parts labelled 'UNKNOWN'. It would be great if we could begin to fill in the gaps and if successful, we may look at posting more in the future.

Comment on our social media posts or email us at contact 'at' wearerailfans.com if you have further information about any of the images below. Let us know too if you're happy to be named as the source of the additional information.
